Handcraft and Color was in no way an easy class, but despite that I was extremely proud of what I was able to accomplish. This piece was part of a shadowbox project in which teams of 4 took an Aesop’s fable and split it into four key points, which each member took to create a shadowbox. My team’s fable was the “Cat Maiden”, and my shadowbox covered the fourth and final key plot point of the story, where the bride, who was a cat turned into a human, chases a mouse that was set loose in the reception hall. The small knifework was difficult, naving never used an x-acto knife on such a small scale before, but I am quite pleased with the result.
