My passion for education stems from my late Grandmother. She had always talked about the importance of getting an education. She was the second youngest of 15 siblings and was the only one to make it through high school. Right before she was about to graduate my great Grandma took her out of school to work. She vowed to encourage her children to succeed in school. That funneled its way down to her grandchildren. I was lucky to have such an amazing role model in regards to education. Even though she has passed, I can still hear her tell her stories about how education equals success. I dedicate my success to her.
