Critical Thinking: I’ve demonstrated critical thinking in my job as a summer camp counselor where I have been in charge of running activities for the kids. I had to think critically about what would work, what would be fun, and what we realistically could do.

Professionalism: I’ve demonstrated professionalism in interacting with my professors as a student and in interviews I have done.

Communication: I’ve demonstrated communication when working on group projects as a student by communicating what roles and expectations everyone has.

Teamwork: I’ve demonstrated teamwork in my job as a summer camp counselor because you have to work with the other counselors when dividing tasks, working with campers, and planning activities.


Q3:

  1. In a cover latter you would want to give the impression that you are professional and knowledgeable about the job. Be able to communicate well through your writing and show that you are enthusiastic about the job and what you are able to bring. You would want to avoid seeming indifferent and incompetent. You want to highlight your strengths and have everything supported by real world experience. You don’t want to convey that you feel entitled to a position.
  2. In an interview you would want to present yourself professionally through both your actions and appearance. You want to make sure that you are communicating well and avoiding phrases such as like and uhhh. You would also want to make sure you take time to answer the questions fully and to the best of your ability. You would want to show interest in the job by asking questions and demonstrate that you are willing to grow and learn in the role.
