My time is Western Civilization was definitely a roller coaster. The first half of the semester, I was constantly struggling and almost in tears with every paper that we had to write. I really could not figure out the style that he wanted everyone to write in for his papers. Finally I realized that I needed help and went to his office to ask him about our semester project (seen below), which turned into me asking about how he wants the papers written. On my next paper he gave me 5 extra points because I “finally asked for help”. The biggest thing that I learned from this class was to not be afraid to ask for help because the professors do not want to see you fail, they will help you as much as they can.
