Dear Hiring Manager,

I’m seeking a position in child guidance counseling. I’ve always been skilled at conversing and learning about individuals. I’ve always wanted to help everyone I could. I have good listening skills, interpersonal skills, and communication abilities. I have prior experience coaching children. This helped me understand how children learn and who they are. I’m enthusiastic to learn what it takes to be a qualified counselor because I want to help children who believe they aren’t good enough to succeed in life. I want to help kids make the most of their lives and have a positive educational experience because I never had it when I was young.

I’m pursuing a bachelor’s degree in sociology to learn more about why we do what we do as a society. I want to know why children and young people choose to act in school. In high school, I assisted my teachers with the freshmen class. I developed communication skills. How to explain things to them and understand how they work. I’ve always been a member of a team, whether it’s football or the classroom. I’ve always been able to listen to other’s ideas and find the most efficient and straightforward ways to do work. I am a dedicated worker who strives to learn.

My purpose as a guidance counselor is to help children create a future for themselves. I’d like to learn how to do it effectively. I want to tell them that it is okay to not be the best student. You can always improve yourself and create additional opportunities for yourself.

I am interested in the position of guidance counselor because, as a child, my counselor assisted me with scholastic challenges. She actually changed my life and taught me that no matter how difficult life is, it can get better. I appreciate you taking the time to review my application. If you have any follow-up questions. Please contact me via email or phone, and I will respond to the best of my ability.

Sincerely,

Connar Ellison
