In survey research, it is best to make sure that the questions are easy to understand and get the information necessary while avoiding being an inconvenience to the participant. The surveys should be sent out to representative population and aim to receive as many responses as possible. The participants should be made aware that it is their choice whether or not to participate in the survey and that they are allowed to stop or skip a question at any point. The questions should be aimed to gather only information of use or required for the research and should not be used in any way to expose the participant to harm. The surveys should aim to gather a mix of qualitative and quantitative information to get a more complete analysis for the research.
