A regression analysis was completed to assess the effect of encouragement on enjoyment. The independent variable for this regression analysis is enjoyment. This variable asked, “How much did your family enjoy this activity?”, with 0 to 10 being the scale to provide an answer. The dependent variable for this regression analysis is encouragement. This variable asked, “Did the Astronaut Pudding Activity encourage your family to spend time together?”, with 0 to 10 being the scale to provide an answer. With a r-squared statistic of .488, we have explained 48.8% of variation in enjoyment. The p-value is less than .001, showing that there is a significant relationship between the variables. For every one unit change in encouragement, we expect a unit increase of enjoyment by .82353.
