My portfolio has discussed many things from journals, to rhetoric, and the common good. English-400 has taught me about growth and how I am able to become a better student through perseverance and understanding. Before starting the class I had little idea what a good argument was and when writing essays I only knew the basics of persuasion. Through this class I have garnered an understanding of what it means to be a creator and a writer and the knowledge that I’ve acquired is arguably the most important information I’ve learned during my college career. Whether I have to write a letter to a higher up or a lesson plan I have learned throughout my course how to properly show my thoughts and this knowledge will carry me to when I become an Elementary School teacher and eventually my final goal which is to be a college professor.
