In this class, one of the big things we worked on was perfecting our resumes and learning how to make an effective cover letter to go along with it. I already had a resume made so it was just a matter of updating it and fixing the format to match what the textbook said. After reading the textbook and taking notes during the class discussion, I went back and fixed it. After submitting it, I took the professor’s notes and once again fixed it. This process was useful because I now know that a resume is something that should be constantly updated and fixed, not something that is made and done forever. For each job it is submitted for, the resume needs to reflect my ability to do that specific job. It has to be tailored to match my application.
