This was an odd class to have my first semester at Longwood because I didn’t know that there were classes that would teach things in small chunks or off topic things like a special topics class does.  This course was a sort of philosophy based course, where we had Dr. Blincoe in the class teaching.  I thought the material was very interesting but I found it hard to grasp sometimes.  There were points where I felt very good about what we were learning and others where I felt as if I were drifting through space and my wandering thoughts because the material seemed vague and not connected to itself.  Attached to this is my first Reflection Paper of the course.  I chose a topic related to the book we had just finished reading, which was the Symposium, and I reflected upon it.
