Community

Community has always been a significant factor in the reason why I love Longwood. When I first got into Longwood, I was worried about meeting new people and making friends because I didn’t know anyone at Longwood. Very quickly into my fall semester at Longwood, I found an amazing group of people who I quickly became great friends with. One aspect about Longwood that promotes a close-knit community is the small size of the campus and the emphasis that Longwood places on events for students to meet each other. I’ve had the opportunity to meet a lot of cool people through Longwood events such as the Honors College Retreat, New Lancer Days, SGA retreats, tailgates for the basketball games, etc. I’m very glad and grateful that I’ve been able to find my own community of friends, peers, and like-minded people at Longwood.
