In ECON 217, I had the opportunity to learn new concepts about the field of economics with Dr. Marks. I wasn’t sure what to expect because I had never taken an economics class before. However, I went into the course feeling good and excited to learn something outside of what I usually learn. Overall, I enjoyed the course even though there was a lot of homework assigned and a lot of notes to take in the class. I think that I can take what I’ve learned in the class and apply it to environmental conservation and protection. This class helped me better understand that the economy and environment often conflict when it comes to their priorities but there can be a balance between them. I’ve attached a copy of notes that I took from the first few classes in ECON 217 below.
