Reflecting on the press release, I really like this assignment because before English 470 I was not aware of this assignment. I was able to understand what a press release was, the format and how it is beneficial in the real-world setting. During our lesson on press releases, I was able to learn that it is meant to get someone’s attention and to make news and generate publicity. For my press release, I was selling a product that I wanted individuals to buy. I was able to control my story by having a good story, getting to the point, and using information for my audience to be interested.
