Course Enhancement

Course Enhancement Program:
The Course Enhancement program is an extension of LOTI, is optional for faculty, and is geared toward the individual applicant. During the Course Enhancement, accepted faculty select one online/hybrid course to enhance or re-design. Faculty then work one-on-one with an instructional designer from the DEC to re-design the course, improve student engagement, incorporate specific instructional technology, etc.

The Course Enhancement Program is for faculty members who:

  • are current Longwood University faculty
  • have successfully completed LOTI
  • have taught at least one online/hybrid course at Longwood University
  • have a serious interest in re-designing a course

Course Enhancement participants will be paid a one-time $500 stipend after successful completion of all required training elements. Please Note: Faculty who register and successfully complete subsequent sessions of LOTI and Course Enhancement will only receive stipend pay if it has been more than five years since the last completed LOTI or Course Enhancement session. Also, if you are taking LOTI and are not currently teaching a course for Longwood University, you will not receive the completion stipend until you are an active Longwood University faculty member.
