Within the counseling profession there are many paths an individual could follow such as school counseling, student affairs and college counseling, mental health, career counseling, addiction counseling, and many more.  

Within the School Counseling Track, there are a few different options including: Elementary School. Middle School, High School, and private school in the same grades. However, since my credentials plan at this time will not include getting my license, I will only look into public schools. Counties hiring and their average salary for school counselors are as follows:
