Honors English 215: Tales of the Frontier

Instructor: Dr. Faulkner

This was the first paper that I wrote for Dr. Faulkner’s class during the 2018 fall semester. We had been discussing the differences and similarities between the different books we finished during the first half of the semester. This paper showed me the differences and similarities in faith that people living on the frontier had.

During the first part of the class, we had read several books about different people’s lives on the frontier. Each book took place during a different time period. This paper was about the similarities and differences about a specific aspect from the frontier. I wrote about faith on the frontier because I wanted to dig deeper into the lives of the different people we had read about. This paper challenged my writing and helped me learn how to incorporate different pieces of evidence to help strengthen my argument. By completing this assignment, it helped me become a better writer.
