I have decided to target a middle school age audience. I have chosen middle school age due to this age group beginning to earn their independence from their families. Middle school aged children are more likely to observe how people are interacting with one another unlike elementary school age. I would have chosen elementary age but I wanted to make sure my selected audience would be able to fully understand the importance of grooming abuse and how it can affect a person forever. My goal is for the middle school audience to share this information to younger siblings and parents. I want the audience to recognize these behaviors not only for themselves but for others around them.
