I have learned a lot more about the research process and how its conducted this semester than I have before. This research project was especially more educational because it was about an issue that was new, not just to us, but to everyone. COVID-19 was a shock to everyone and solutions are still being trying to be found. I’ve learned that research isn’t always about learning something new; it’s about confirming what others assert is true and extending that into something we want to know more about. I’ve learned how to create and ask better questions in order to find better answers. there’s always one more question to ask. As a researcher, you’re never done. No one does research as a neutral observer. We all have agendas, positions, standpoints. The important thing is to recognize and declare them from the outset. Patience is a virtue which you can not take advantage of, it takes time to find answers. So don’t rush the process.
