Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in the open position as a Social Worker at UMFS, as advertised on Indeed. With a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and two years of experience interning with the infant and toddler connection program as well as the YWCA, I am eager to contribute my skills and passion for advocacy to your team.

In my previous role at the infant and toddler connection program, I successfully assessed clients and worked to develop effective forms of intervention planning. This experience honed my ability to assess needs, provide effective support, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. I believe my past experiences would support me in the role of a Social Worker at UMFS because it demonstrates my commitment to improving client outcomes.

I am drawn to UMFS because of its dedication in supporting preservation of high risk families. I share this vision and am excited about the opportunity to work with a team that prioritizes holistic, client-centered approaches. My strong communication skills and empathy enable me to build rapport with clients and advocate effectively on their behalf.

I am experienced in working with children with disabilites which I believe will contribute to the valuable services UMFS provides. I am committed to continuous professional development if given the opportunity to work with this organization.

Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to the opportunity to discuss how my background, skills, and passion for social work align with the goals of UMFS. I am excited about the possibility of contributing to your team and making a positive impact on the lives of those you serve.

Sincerely,

Athena Hughes
