Each year, the LU@YNP project takes on a different feel depending on the specific course offerings and the faculty involved. Take a moment to explore previous versions of the course to get a feel for the ways fellow Lancers have explored Yellowstone for themselves.
Students who participate in LU@YNP have done so through a number of pathways including:
GNED 400 (Goal 13) – “Writing for Citizenship” goal, usually met through ENGL 400
GNED 495 – Exploring Stewardship in Yellowstone (Perspectives level for HBS and SRC)
GNED 261 (Goal 6) – Exploring Science in Our World
BIOL/ENSC 295 – Socioscientific approaches to complex challenges
Specialized Honors courses or Directed studies in their majors
Take a moment to explore the experiences of fellow Lancers that discovered Yellowstone for themselves.
Faculty will run the LU@YNP 2019 program as GNED 495, satisfying students’ Goal 13 requirement for their General Education program, as well as the perspectives-level for Human Behavioral and Social Institutions (HBSI) OR Scientific Reasoning (SR).
