Press Release

Another assignment for the course tasked my group to create a press release announcing the release of our product we advertised in our brochure. The assignment links with course learning outcomes one, four, and six. Course learning outcome one involved analyzing and producing writing genres commonly found in the professional world. Press releases are often used in the professional world as a means to gain attention to a new product or service. In order to do this, it was important for our group to consider our audience while writing the press release. Our audience was people who liked to travel, so we included quotes about how easy it would be to travel the world with the Handheld Portal Device. The document followed a block formatting and included AIDA principles, which contributed to learning outcome four. Creating the press release as a collaborative project in a group addressed course learning outcome six.
