Honors Citizen 110: Bodies and Citizenship

This course was my first honors class of my college career. It was meant to be focused on how physical human bodies can impact one’s citizenship; however I felt that it was more a gender/women’s studies class. This course certainly challenged many of my beliefs, and it did not change them, however I did appreciate the fact that the professor and most of my classmates were mature and respectful enough to have many deep and thought-provoking conversations. I certainly learned a lot about the world today and how things were in the past according to physicality. This course also taught me how to better my public speaking and critical analyzation skills.

Attached is a sample syllabus that we created for the final project. The project was to design your own topic for this same Bodies and Citizenship class and research and include several sources to teach with.
