Conceptual Physics

This course demonstrated a broad range of conceptual ideas including topics such as mechanics, fluids, heat, electricity, magnetism, and light. This course also had a strong emphasis on the scientific method, which we defined as: making objective observations, asking scientific questions, formulating hypotheses, identifying relevant variables, planning and carrying out investigations, evaluating data, and drawing evidence-based conclusions. Another cool thing I wanted to point out about this course is that it was the first course I took where right on top of the canvas homepage our professor posted helpful links on “time management”, “stress & anxiety”, “exam preparation”, and “are you getting enough sleep”. I think I can speak for the class in saying that that meant a lot and is really important and helped me for one to remember to step back and make sure I’m doing ok and not getting too wrapped up in the stress of work. Again, this course did not really have any artifact produced as an end goal, but it did teach me a lot and was very useful to the job world as well as mental health!
