This course addressed the fundamentals of chemistry such as the periodic table, molecules, nomenclature, stoichiometry, thermochemistry, and chemical reaction balancing. The course was actually structured in a unique way with primary and secondary objectives that students are quizzed on, with the final grade in the course being based on how many objectives you complete. Each student is also given a number of retakes. I thought this course structure was really neat the way it was very adaptive to those who aren’t necessarily great test-takers. It was focused more on you actually learning the material than just getting a good grade on a test/quiz on the first try. There were actually no submissions or course project in this class, so I do not have an artifact to attach, however this class was really unique and a great learning experience.
