This course, titled Fundamentals of Chemistry II, was a furthering of fundamental concepts learned in CHEM 111. It addressed topics such as properties of solutions, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium, energy & thermodynamics, electrochemistry, and nuclear chemistry. The course was very math-intensive and required a LOT of practice to form an understanding of the concepts and be able to successfully solve the math! There was also a large focus on safely performing experiments and following the scientific method, which is crucial to any science career. This course was very similar to CHEM 111 in that there wasn’t really any big final project or major artifact produced from the class as much of the time was devoted to practice and understanding of complicated topics.
