MATH 171

Statistical Decision Making

As an introductory statistics course, MATH 171 served to expand upon the basics such as measures of central tendency and variability and incorporate these principles and more into analyzing real life data sets. We learned about the role of statistics in problem solving and making decisions with the use of confidence intervals and hypothesis testing.

Linked above is a group paper outlining a hypothesis test performed on a specific data set, as well as going through the step-by-step of how we came to that conclusion. It is surprisingly difficult to write a paper as a group with everyone typing things at once, so this served to improve my group-coordinating skills for sure!
