To me scholarship goes beyond the classroom, it goes beyond GPA and test grades. Scholarship, learning, and wisdom is the knowledge one brings into the world, the impact one has on those around him or her, and being the best human they can be. I hope to take valuable lessons learned during my time at Longwood to spread peace, love, and unity into the world. And in the words of Josh Kiska, “the more you love the more you know”.
To provide a more substantial, mainstream goal for this pillar, I hope to graduate with a 3.5 or higher GPA. If only to potentially open doors in the future in order to fulfill what scholarship truly means to me.

This past semester I furthered the scholarship pillar by completing an honors research project for my American Foreign Policy class. My GPA is holding steady at a 3.5 and I am closer to figuring out what I want to do with my life. I am very interested in the criminal justice system; and I have goals of working al0ng the process to fill very needed, understaffed positions. Even after just taking CRIM 100 and following current events, my eyes have been opened to extensive issues throughout the Criminal Justice system that I hope to one day help address.
