During Honors COMM 101-  public speaking, I was able to enhance my public speaking skills. I have always loved public speaking and enjoy it, but this class allowed me to make my public speaking more professional. It also allowed me to create a skill set for public speaking that can prepare me for many different occasions. We were assigned persuasive speeches, acceptance speeches, informative speeches, group speeches, introduction speeches, and other speech scenarios. We also focused on advancing our vocabulary during this class which is something that can help me in all classes. I had to create slideshows for each speech, cite correctly, and self reflect on each speech which allowed me to think more about how I can personally perfect my speech. I have grown more comfortable and feel more ready to give a speech after this class.
