In conclusion, English 400 has helped me improve my written communication through all of the assignments on this ePortfolio. I will transfer the knowledge and skills gained from this class and be able to apply it to things that I will have to write in the future. Since I am a business administration major, I will be required to use the skills I’ve learned and apply them to every aspect of the business world ranging from daily emails to big business proposals and conferences. Having the skills of decision making with others, initiating new ideas and coordinating tasks is something that will help me in my future since my concentration is in management. Working in a group improved my time management, accepting responsibility, meeting goals, and organizing. These are just few of the many skills that I will take with me to my future jobs and volunteer work. I hope to take these communication skills and transfer them to be a more active citizen within my society to make our world a better place. Considering business occurs all around the world and it is in everybody’s day -to-day life, making a difference in the way businesses approach certain social issues (like climate change) so that way it has a greater influence by reaching more people quickly.
