For the Common Good Project, my two teammates and I came together to discuss the climate change issue and we wanted to be able to spread awareness. We mostly want to shut down the common fallacy of “Climate Change isn’t real”. This still seems to be something that is believed by some. Our purpose was to come together and try and use pathos in our website to draw on our audience’s emotions. From this project I learned about how to provide information and use it to inform and in a sense, persuade, my audience about why this topic is important. Through this, I learned how to “choose appropriate formats in writing for a variety of purposes”. This was important in making sure we used the right terministic screens to spread awareness to our peers, and society as a whole.
