Community

One of the things emphasized in the Honors College is the feeling of a community. This is very true in many ways. From the start of the Honors Retreat, each member of the Honors College is placed in a very welcoming environment, with other members that are just as new to everything as you are. Bonds are soon created, and the Honors members have friends in each other even before the actual classes begin. Then, throughout the year, the members are there for each other, and they work together very well during all they do for the Honors College. Being part of the Honors College really feels like being invited to join a tight-knit family.
