Goal 6 Biology 101
I took honors Biology 101 during the first semester of my junior year. That was a mistake. I was in a class with mostly freshmen and I could not connect with them and the problems they were dealing with. I constantly complained about the immature and mouth freshmen to my friends. It was then that I realized that by gossiping about these freshmen I was being mouthy and immature. I was no better than the people who I loathed. I decided that I needed to make a change. I started talking to the freshmen aout why they thought the class was so difficult and I actually helped them learn more about Biology and honors as a whole. I even helped one of the freshmen in the class create his schedule for the next semester! I tell everyone I meet that honors is a community and a family, but I didn’t act very familial during the first half of my Bio class.
