Year 1

My education at this university, so far, has definitely been a journey. I’ve had some easier classes, and I’ve had classes that destroyed my motivation and sleep schedule. The Honors classes provided a decent challenge for me, which I appreciate, but I would argue instead that my GAND classes are all much more intense, complicated work, with tighter deadlines than the Honors professors require of us.

Things were easy at first, then a good challenge, then harder towards the end of Fall. Then we hit the ground running during Spring, and did not stop until the very end, where all of our projects were due and we went out with a bang. Nothing but research, drawing, writing, case studies, more research, revisions of research, etc etc.

My only regret is I didn’t manage my time better during my work here. Next year is going to be a challenge as well, but I’ve heard it won’t be AS bad as this year. Here’s to hoping that’s true! (Because GAND 105 obliterated me.)
