Service is all about helping. Weather it’s helping the environment, animals, or people, there is service being done. In the honors college, there are plenty of opportunities to complete service; one of them being a service retreat to Hull Springs Farm in Montross, VA. During this retreat we completed service projects around the house, a nearby beach, and women’s shelter. I got to go to the women’s shelter and it really made me feel good knowing that I could help out around the shelter, even with small tasks. I really enjoyed helping people with my peers and friends on this retreat, and I can’t to have the opportunity to go again.
