Scholarship is a big part of honors. To maintain good honors standing, you must keep a 3.25 GPA, complete 8 honors classes by graduation, and take an honors class at least every other semester. I thought at first that the honors classes would be difficult and I would struggle; however, I realized the motto “it’s not hard work, it’s different work” was very true. In my honors classes, the professor encourages you to think outside the box and find new ways of completing work. I really like this approach because it doesn’t seem like all my classes have the same cookie cutter assignments.
