Honors Courses

Introduction to Ethics

Spring 2018

This course was a great introduction to the world of ethics and I actually enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. I would have liked to explore this subject more.

Children’s Literature

Fall 2017

For this course, I did a research project on the cognitive and social development benefits of certain children’s books. I presented this research at the poster session held in November, and was very proud of this project. The content of this course was very fascinating and relevant to elementary education.

Health and P.E. for Classroom Teachers

Fall 2018

This is a course that I am enhancing. I am doing a research project looking into the experiences of a student with epilepsy in the classroom, and how this affects their overall time in school. This project is relevant to me because I am a student with epilepsy and would like to know if my experiences compare to others.

Virginia Studies

Fall 2018

This is another course I am enhancing this semester. I am doing a research project on the Bizarre plantation and Israel’s Hill, two aspects of Farmville’s history that are not known about by a lot of the residents here.
