The brochure project helped me attain the fourth goal, create professional documents that uses design—standard formats, layout, use of graphics, etc. This project helped me learn how to take all aspects of visual design into account when creating documents with a visual goal. People who will interact with a visual project will be swayed by multiple parts of the project, including graphics, color scheme, and layout, so these concepts need to be addressed in the fullest way possible to effectively reach the prospective audience. Finding a color scheme and appropriate photos was a challenge for a project on a topic that’s not prevalent. In addition, creating a layout of the inner panels proved to be difficult. Using my group members to help, we figured out how to effectively use graphics and layout the inner panels.
