Biography

Hi my name is Madelyn Shiflett and I’m a sophomore Music Education Major. I have wanted to be a music educator ever since I met my high school band teacher. His teaching had a big impact on me and not just in making me a better musician but a better person. He used to give the band pep talks during class if we were not doing our best. He would always tell us about team work, cooperation, and persistence among many other things. This is what  inspired me to become a music teacher so I could teach my students about these life lessons through my love of music.
