Community

The move each student makes into their academic situation is a daunting task which involves much change. Because of this, it is often found that many students will involve themselves in their communities and develop great friendships from the people they have been able to meet. In my own time at Longwood University, I was able to involve myself in programs and organizations to expand my social boundaries. I participated in clubs including the Society of Physics Students, Women in STEM, the LCVA, and the honors college in which I found many relations for every aspect. The communities that i had found were entirely welcoming and driven to succeed in their own realms within the academic world we had included ourselves in. Each became a wonderful learning experience.
