Since this course also counted as one of my general education requirements, you can find out more about the class under the general education tab.  The honors portion of this course, however, made this class a bit different than the other world literature classes taught by the same professor.  For this honors class, almost every week we would have an additional discussion assignments that went more in depth on the material than usually covered.  It gave us a better knowledge of the material as well as the ability to analyze texts, cultures, religions and more in a deeper way.  Since the class was mainly based on discussions, I got to learn ideas and views from my peers.  It was fascinating how the same poem or chapter can mean completely different things to different people.
