I took general chemistry online over winter intersession.  This course taught me how to manage my time better then any other course I have taken so far in college.  In the class, I would have ten to twelve assignments due each week, but was not on a daily schedule.  This forced me to manage my time while at home surrounded by friends and family and the holidays.  While at Longwood I must manage my time as well with distractions, however, I felt that is was much harder and more of a learning experience at home.  This course was shortened into four weeks so there was a lot of work to be done in a short amount of time which could be very frustrating if I waited until the last minute.  I learned to spread the work out over the whole week or plan the work around my schedule so that I was never cramming all of the work in one day or night.  Since this course was all online, I do not have any artifacts to post in my portfolio.
