The honors community has been so welcoming and extremely helpful in college.  The honors retreat really showed me how close-knit this community is and how everyone is here to help you with anything.  Within just those short few days, I met amazing people and made some life-long friendships.  It wasn’t just the freshman who were friendly because they were searching for friends, even the upperclassmen and faculty were so welcoming and made me feel at home immediately.

Not only does the honors college community make me feel at home, Longwood as a whole does this as well.  All of the events and organizations make everyone feel accepted and be able to find their niche.  For me, I found Longwood ambassadors.  I have only been a part of this organization for a few months and i already feel like I am part of the family.  Longwood community is so open and kind and I am so happy to been able to experience its warmth.
