English 165 was a class I took that I never thought I would need. I thought to myself, this is just another english class. I would read a passage or two, write some papers and turn them in for my easy A. Although this class was not academically, really challenging, I did learn a lot from taking this course. I learned about my career and just how important it is. I wrote paper after paper in this class about my profession and by doing so, I really saw how much help the education in America needs tending to. There are children everywhere suffering from traumatic events happening in their early childhood that can affect them for the rest of their lives. I learned that the education systems need to find a better way to help students escape from the troubles of their home lives, if they have them, and engage in learning a way they actually enjoy. We are a far way from it, but I am glad this class opened up my eyes to it and I cannot wait to get in the field and help hands on!
