Conclusion

The ePortfolio related work completed within English 400 to essential course outcomes. each of the outcomes were accomplished upon the completion of different assignments in the class. Work completed within the class includes journal entries, a rhetorical analysis, and the common good project. Each of the assignments provided useful skills that will be useful in future work-related situations. English 400 presented me opportunity to write my first rhetorical analysis. As a lawyer it will be critical to analyze my work to ensure there is appropriate ethos, logos, and pathos within the text. Analyzing other cases rhetorical strategies will also become essential to determine what approaches are successful to winning cases. Journal entries also will be beneficial to future work as the knowledge acquired from the journals will provide a better understanding on how to persuade my audience. In addition, the journal entry concerning burden of proof will be influential on my understanding of who carries the burden of proof. Regarding the common good project, it offered me skills of interacting with individuals from diverse fields of study. This interaction allowed me to improve communication skills and use other individuals’ strengths to improve in areas where I may need assistance. The presentation of the common good project allowed me to become more adapt to presentation and allowed opportunities for me to acquire questions regarding another group’s work. My experience concerning my English 400 class, with Dr. Guler has been very beneficial regarding skills that will be transferable to future everyday work.
