MATH 320
After taking this course in the Spring of 2017, I appreciate mathematics even more than I did before. Learning how ancient civilizations started discovering mathematics was the most interesting class I’ve taken to date. Being able to see how numbers like pi came to be is beneficial to my future as a mathematics major. I often take concepts like pi for granted since I use them so often. Not only did we see these concepts, we would work on algebraic and geometric problems like the ancient civilizations did. Some civilizations did not have numbers and most did not use a base 10 system like we do today. This course also had a 10-day study abroad trip in the Summer which I will discuss ore in my study abroad section.
