After taking this honors course of music appreciation, I now listen to music in a different way. I am much more cognizant of the sound track in many movies. Watching a movie like Baby Driver after taking this course added to my enjoyment of the movie because the majority of the movie played into the soundtrack very well. The most memorable part of the class would be the group project where we worked together to analyze the soundtrack of a political movie since it was the same semester as the Vice-Presidential debate. Our group was given Air Force One, and we described every minute of the music and found the themes throughout the soundtrack. This taught me how to work better in terms of group work and made me appreciate music more than ever before.
