ECON 318
This course was my first and only enhancement course. I worked with two other honors students and the professor to find the main cause for why many countries grow faster than others economically. We considered many different factors after reading Why Nations Fail by Daron Acemoglu and James A. Robinson and decided that the authors were correct in that countries with more stable political institutions tended to have higher economic growth. We found other sources to back this claim as well as data given to us by the professor. We put all of this information on a poster and presented. Along with the poster we wrote a ten page paper discussing our results.
