Sociology in Practice
This was a very people oriented class. We were required to complete community service as well as walk around Farmville and talk to strangers. I’ve definitely not experienced a class like this before. I learned about social issues and the society we live in today. I did struggle some in this class because I do not have a very sociological type mind. I tend to think about what’s going on inside a person rather than what is going on around them. So, this class made me change my thinking in a big way.
I knew coming into college that I was not going to enjoy every class that I took. This class was taught very well, but unfortunately it was just not a high rating class for me. However, this class did help me better understand what I want to do with my college degree and what direction I would like to head. So, even though this was not my favorite class, I did benefit greatly from it.
