To fulfill this requirement, I took SPAN 110- Beginning Language and Culture. This course taught me the fundamentals of Spanish, including conjugations, masculine and feminine and vocabulary and educated me on the culture of Spanish speaking countries. I learned about the traditional foods, song and dance, and activities of various Spanish countries. The course gave me an interest in Spanish cultures and one of the reasons I will be studying abroad in Costa Rica next fall.
