This professional writing project fulfilled three of the course learning outcomes – 1) Analyzing and producing writing genres commonly found in the professional writing world; 2) Creating professional documents that use plain English; and 3) Participating productively in collaborative projects. It was especially important to our group that we use clear and concise language when constructing this Press Release, as our product was one of science fiction. The use of pathos and ethos was also considered. This project also helped me to learn the proper delegation of tasks, such as drafting and editing for individual group members.
